Last Friday, July 17, the mayor of Bullas, Maria Dolores Muñoz, along with the Town Planning, Juan Pedro Muñoz, held a meeting with representatives of Cofely-Imesapi.
Accompanied by municipal technicians, they moved their deep unease with the situation where there is the lighting of the town, and urged that make design modifications necessary to resolve this situation.
According to the Town Planning, "the network has a lamentable state of conservation, with facilities with multiple deficiencies that cause outages in certain areas of our people, such as the Canary Street, the Calderon, the Avenida de Murcia, the Barrio del Cura, Leon Felipe Street, Avenue of Cehegín or a particular area of Barrio de La Cruz, are very frequent, even to a level of incidents Bullas not lived in for 25 years. "
He adds that "while the municipal officers are trying to address this situation as quickly as possible, they can not completely solve the problem because the materials and equipment they need to do so have not been supplied by the UTE (Joint Venture) 'Cofely- Imesapi 'as well obliges the contract with this company. "
The City of Bullas, then ruled by the Popular Party, signed in February 2014 a contract with two companies with the aim of renewing street lighting facilities.
Under this contract the Consistory should assume the tasks of preventive and corrective maintenance of the facilities upon completion of the refurbishment and renovation, before the joint venture which would assume such tasks.
"In the period of conservation has been in charge of this company have been devoted to patching go every night those parts of the system they knew that gave more problems, but never to solve the problem completely," says the mayor who said Muñoz "the result was that the number of incidents that could perceive was not very high".
"At the time when City Council technicians have it taken over the maintenance of public lighting, even before the provisions of the contract, in order to solve the increasing number of incidents more quickly and efficiently, it is when has shown the lamentable condition of the facilities, due to breach of obligations by the contractor, "concludes on this issue by the Town Planning.
Both the Mayor and the Councillor responsible demanded therefore the immediate rectification of deficiencies and the timely provision of materials that the company has to provide the municipal officers to enable them to fulfill their missions, while calling for the understanding of the residents affected expecting the prompt settlement of the above shortcomings.
