From the Plaza of Spain yesterday has a new Christmas ornament.
A Christmas tree made of plastic bottles.
The idea carried out by members of the Association The Tribe departed the departments of Environment and Education in order to encourage residents to recycle.
Children from different schools collaborated with this initiative bringing nearly 400 plastic bottles that form the body of the tree and were placed one by one, with the help of employees of the City Services, the monitors of the tribe.
This Association, days before, had given talks on how to recycle well in classrooms.
Recycling is part of our daily life, so the Department of Environment is also preparing to launch a campaign soon to explain in ten districts of the municipality how to recycle properly and the expense of not doing so.
